Anu Gupta, M.D. – Medical Director
 
 

Associates in Radiation Oncology, P.C is headed by our medical director, Dr.Anu Gupta. Dr.Gupta completed her undergraduate work at George Mason University as a Dean’s List student.She received her Doctorate of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. While there, Dr.Gupta was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships. Dr.Gupta completed her radiation oncology residency at Georgetown University Hospital. As an assistant professor at the University she authored several scientific papaers. Dr.Gupta is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a clinical faculty position at the nationally renowned Lombardi Cancer Centre at Georgetown University Hospital. She is a member of professional organizations such as the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Medical Society of Virginia. As the Cancer Liason physician for Prince William Hospital, Dr.Gupta is actively involved in community outreach events and has appeared on local news channels as an expert in the field of oncology. These interviews can be found on this website and also on YouTube.com in a special page. Dr.Gupta has been recognized in Washingtonian magazine as one of D.C’s  top doctors. Dr.Gupta is also fluent in Hindi and proficient in Spanish.
 
 
 
 
Cynthia Bouker - Practice Administrator
 
 

Ms. Bouker has been with ARO since its inception. She has many years of experience in the management of a radiation oncology facility. She is responsible for the smooth running of the facility. Ms. Bouker is also well versed in insurance and billing issues and is readily available to patients to address any financial concerns they may have.
 
 
 
 
Charles Kelleher - Medical Dosimetrist
 
 


Mr. Kelleher has over 10 years of experience in the radiation therapy field. As a former radiation therapist, his background allows him to be knowledgeable in all aspects of treatment delivery. Mr. Kelleher is also responsible for CT simulation prior to treatment planning. This allows him to have a complete understanding of the patient’s positioning during simulation and therefore what the patient will find comfortable during treatment. Mr. Kelleher is board certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board(MDCB), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and member of  the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD) and American Society of Radiation Therapists (ASRT).

 
 
 
 
Michael Garcia – Senior Radiation Therapist
 
 


Mr. Garcia received his BS degree from Albert Einstein College in Radiation Therapy. He is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) and a member of ASRT. Mr. Garcia has over 25 years of experience in the radiology field working first in the New York area before coming to D.C. Mr. Garcia is well versed in the advanced technology used at ARO, including CT Simulation, IMRT delivery and On Board Imaging.

 
 

 
 
Carol Kline – Senior Radiation Therapist
 
 


Ms. Kline received her Associates Degree at George Washington University, Washington D.C. in radiation therapy. She is board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) and a member of ASRT. Ms. Kline has over 15 years of experience in the radiology field working primarily in the D.C. area. Ms. Kline is well versed in the advanced technology used at ARO, including CT Simulation, IMRT delivery and On Board Imaging.

 
 

 
     
 
Medical Physicists
 
 

ARO’s associated staff of nine physicists, representing certifications in radiation therapy, diagnostic x-ray, and nuclear medicine from the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Medical Dosimetry, as well as six dosimetrists, most certified by the American Board of Medical Dosimetry, provide the Center with expert, in-depth knowledge. The physicists work directly with the physician during treatment planning and delivery. They help ensure that complex treatments are properly tailored for each patient.
